IAN CAWOOD was born and educated in Leicester. His passion for painting started at an early age, although it has only been during the last 10 years that he has become a professional artist.

Ian is self-taught and has developed his own brand of painting through time and experience. His pictures are both vibrant and atmospherical, and totally capture the mood and beauty of both land and sea.

He draws his inspiration from the many places he visits, but in particular his love of Pembrokeshire, South Wales - seascapes, the county he lives in – Leicestershire – landscapes, and his great passion for Venice, where he captures the depth and beauty of the architecture.

The demand for Ian’s original work has grown immensely over the last few years, and he has now decided to go to print on some of his work and created a range of Limited Edition prints and greeting cards.
